![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I haven’t had any sort of vacation in years, so I’m considering taking some time off when Tears of the Kingdom comes out just to play through that.įor my fellow authors and prospective authors reading this, I’ll encourage you to do the same. Burnout is a real problem for writers, and I’m trying to be conscious of that and make an effort to be better about taking time off here and there. I’m very bad at this - I have a tendency to keep adding on more projects without slowing down. I’m also planning to take some breaks soon. Aside from that, most of what I’m still working on is business stuff - things like looking into changing my business structure, finances, contract negotiation for new projects, etc.Īfter that, I’ll be swapping back to AA5 and Edge of the Woods 2, and maybe a bit of work on W&W4. Yesterday, I got my professional editor’s notes back from my publisher for Edge of the Woods, and I’m currently reviewing those, making changes, making notes where I disagree, etc. Just a very brief update, since there isn’t a lot new to report. ![]() ![]() Beginning from a place of assassination-at-first-sight (on Gauri’s overtly aggressive part), readers are treated to a slow-burn attraction that is gradually built through companionable shared goals. This leads up to a vicious climactic fight that sees Good and Evil repeatedly switching sides. Growing into their true natures amid revelations and marked physical changes, the two spark escalating rivalry between the wings of the school. Gradually-too gradually, as the author strings out hundreds of pages of Hogwarts-style pranks, classroom mishaps and competitions both academic and romantic-it becomes clear that the placement wasn’t a mistake at all. I thought I was broken for having difficulty to be unfazed by violence and pain. I thought I was the only one who felt other people’s emotions as if they were my own. I did not understand why I felt emotions so deeply.
